In response to the national strategy for educational digitalization and the university's integrated digital transformation initiative for business and management operations, the Business School has proactively advanced the digital and intelligent upgrading of its core curriculum. The Logistics Management major’s core course, “Logistics Information System,” was officially launched on the China University MOOC platform in November 2025, opening enrollment to undergraduate students nationwide. Delivered by Professor Zhao Chuan, Dr. Zhu Yuting, and Dr. Zhang Hankun, this course draws on over two decades of iterative development and pedagogical refinement. It has been supported by a co-published digital textbook with Higher Education Press, a leading academic publisher in China. The teaching team has consistently earned prestigious recognitions, including titles such as National Teaching Master, Model Teacher, and Outstanding Educator, reflecting their excellence in higher education practice.

“Logistics Information System” is an advanced interdisciplinary course that integrates management science, information science, and systems engineering. The curriculum is structured around four core modules: hardware technologies, data technologies, algorithmic modeling, and system integration. It systematically incorporates emerging digital technologies—including Management Information Systems (MIS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Processing (DP), the Internet of Things (IoT), and 5G—into real-world applications within smart logistics. The course is designed to cultivate high-caliber, interdisciplinary professionals capable of translating managerial reasoning (business) into effective technological solutions (engineering), thereby bridging the gap between business strategy and engineering implementation.

The MOOC “Logistics Information System” integrates intelligent guidance, resource consolidation, learning progress tracking, and dynamic content updates. It offers students comprehensive personalized support, including 24/7 intelligent tutoring, AI-powered exam question analysis, and access to an extensive repository of authentic examination questions from higher education institutions. For instructors, the platform provides data-driven insights into student learning outcomes and decision-support tools for precise lesson preparation. The course curriculum and teaching materials are updated annually and supported by a co-published digital textbook. Open to undergraduate students nationwide, the course ensures the timeliness, quality, and broad accessibility of educational resources.

The successful launch of the “Logistics Information System” MOOC marks a landmark achievement for the Business School of Beijing Technology and Business University in advancing its “Business and Industry Integration” digital transformation strategy.
